Performatek Sport Headers

Performatek sport headers are designed and fabricated to give the best overall
performance for 4 cylinder Alfa engines used in both street and track applications.
Optimum engine performance is dramatically infulenced by the header design.
In turn, proper header design is determined by the other technical characteristics
of your engine. Specifically exhaust cam timing, general cam specs, valves, ports etc.
In short, there is no perfect header design for all engine configurations.
However, the innovative tooling developed in the construction of these headers
allows Performatek to easily change the finished product to closely match your
engine's specific configuration.. Tubing diameters and lengths are selected
to give a broad torque band and excellent power at a useful rev range.
We can build headers that work well with mildly modified engines
and headers that will be right for an engine just below full race.

These headers are 4 into 1 design, are made from mild steel and bolt up to
stock mounting points. Simple shapes allow easy installation and good
clearance in all applications. Extra care was taken to make sure they fit in
stock engine bays with the full compliment of OEM equipment.
Special attention was paid to get a proper match to the exhaust port
direction of flow at the cylinder head interface. In conjuction with proper
joins and welds, this assures unimpeded flow for maximum performance.
Tubing can be either of 2 single diameters or stepped diameters.
Flange ID can be big enough to accomodate expanded ports.
The base set has a simple 4 into 1 collector with an optional merge collector.
These headers are designed to work with a stock center muffler (not really
recommended) but there is no provision for attachment to the stock resonator.
Since these are made to have a 2/25" outlet - and stock Alfa under car parts
use 2" tubing - there is an optional piece that will connect a 2.25" collector outlet
to a 2" inlet center muffler. Of course, ceramic coating is avaliable and recommended.

Pricing below is for reference only. Cost is not determined directly by the amount
of modification of your engine. It takes the same amount of material, cutting, bending
and welding to make a set of headers, no matter how wild your engine is.
